After Hours Procedures

Our providers take urgent calls from home after hours. You may call the main office number at (303) 659-4248 to be connected with the PediaPage answering service, and then the call will be forwarded to the on call physician until 8 pm. After 8 pm, our answering service will forward calls to the Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHC) Nurse Triage Service. However, after speaking with the CHC Triage Nurse, should you feel strongly that you still need to speak with a physician, please let the nurse know. The CHC Triage Nurse will then forward your call to the physician on call.


We kindly ask that you please save routine questions for the morning. You may also use the “Is Your Child Sick?”, “Illnesses and Conditions”, and “Medicine Dosages” information on this website before calling after hours. These are powerful resources to have even when your child just mildly sick. It may even save you from having to call us and waiting for a call back!



If you do have a serious situation that cannot wait until morning, please call. If the provider does not get back to you within 20 minutes, something is most likely wrong with the forwarding system or the number was dialed incorrectly. In this case please call the office number again.

Please disable any call-blocking that may be active on your phone. Our providers will sometimes call from a number that is unidentified, and if call-blocking is activated then they will not be able to reach you.
